Out And About: A Busy Few Months For Prosperity’s Team

The Prosperity Insurance team has grown significantly in the past year or two. With a stronger network and new team members on board, we’ve been making the most of it – hitting the road to attend conferences and networking events across the UK.

Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA) Conference

20^th – 21^st March marked this year’s AvMA Conference in Bournemouth. The conference was an opportunity for all involved in the clinical negligence profession to come together for a two-day programme of industry-leading presentations and learning opportunities. All to enable us to better promote patient safety and justice here in the UK.

Prosperity Insurance provides a range of comprehensive Clinical Negligence After the Event (ATE) policies for those who have suffered because of Medical Negligence or malpractice. Mark and Ghazala from the team exhibited, meeting existing clients and new firms from amongst the 500 delegates in attendance. The star of the show was undoubtedly the miniature stuffed hedgehogs the team gave away – becoming Prosperity’s unofficial mascot, named Spike! The team are already looking forward to next year’s event.

Housing Condition Conference

Our wider team also attended Legal Futures’ Housing Condition Conference – the housing sector’s leading event for professionals working on disrepair cases. This year’s conference addressed the issues like forcing tenants into internal complaints procedures and the role of compulsory mediation, as well as the challenges faced by those acting for local authority landlords.

Prosperity offers a range of Housing Disrepair ATE policies, and so it was useful for the team to attend, hear about the challenges facing solicitors, and network with firms dealing with these claims. Once again, existing clients were in attendance as well as new contacts – and it was a pleasure for the team to interact with both.

AvMA Curry Nights

We recently sponsored an AvMA Curry Night in Manchester, proudly supporting the charity’s vital work for patient justice. The event was well-attended by those in the industry, with lively conversation continuing well past the end of the event at 9pm.

The next AvMA Curry Night to be hosted by Prosperity Insurance, will take place in London’s Gunpowder restaurant, at Tower Bridge, on 29^th May.
