Understanding the needs of conveyancers – we chat progress with Darren Parfitt

When Darren first joined Prosperity Insurance as Business Development Manager, he shared some details of his professional experience as well as his goals and ambitions for his role here at Prosperity. Just over a year into the role, Darren has provided us with an update on his progress so far, what’s been achieved, and what the future holds for Prosperity Insurance. 

When I first joined Prosperity, my main aim was to start learning from the wider industry and from our clients. I wanted to fully understand the needs of our conveyancing clients, the problems law firms face when trying to access insurance policies, and work to differentiate our offer from the wider market. 

I’m delighted to say that we have well and truly achieved that. We asked our existing clients which insurance products they wanted to access through our portal, and we delivered. In the coming months, we’ll have introduced the following insurance products for the benefit of our conveyancing clients:

This comprehensive range joins our existing collection of products which law firms can confidently provide to those they represent. 


Through speaking to our clients, we also learned that convenience was key for solicitors seeking insurance policies on behalf of their clients. Simple to secure quotes, quick policies, minimal reporting requirements, and an easy to use system were all suggested when asked what would make our clients’ lives easier. And so, we’ve been working hard to offer just that. For those who have registered for our portal, quotes are available in seconds; policies in minutes. And we have significantly reduced reporting requirements because we want you to spend your time doing what you do best. In the next few months we will also be making a big announcement which will take convenience to the next level for our customers – and it’s something not many other providers are offering. 

The final focus for us has been to ensure that, across all our policies, we’re accessible to firms of all sizes. And to manage this, we’ve made sure there are no minimum policy purchase requirements across all of our products, and we’ve worked hard to be one of the most competitive insurance providers on the market.
