ATE Insurance is an insurance policy that protects and covers a client who wants to pursue a claim against the risk of having to pay their opponents legal costs and disbursements if the case is unsuccessful.

In the event that a case is lost, ATE insurance will pay the legal costs that an opponent (defendant) incurs in defending the claim and the disbursements that the claimant’s lawyer has had to pay to progress the matter.
